How To View SAP Portal Exception and Error Logs

There are times in SAP Portal where you may come across errors noting an Exception ID. To find more information regarding this specific error, you can pull up detail information in the SAP Portal logs to determine whether it really is a security error or not.
  1. Login to portal (http://<host>:<port>)
  2. Select the Web Dynpro Link

  3. Go to the following link in portal: System Management > Monitoring > Logs and Traces

  4. From here, you will see the Exception IDs of the specific SAP Portal error message you are looking for.
